Our Vision
Patient-Centered Coordinated Care
For too long, dentists and physicians have trained in separate schools, resulting in a siloed effect for each profession. Now we have two industries that have developed separate norms and workflows for both disciplines. These differences and inefficiencies are truly a disservice to our patients. Most patients see their dentist twice annually for preventive care, but the same prevention is not necessarily happening with our primary care colleagues. There’s a need for new norms with a more holistic approach that’s designed to help everyone make the important connection and bi-directional link between dental disease and chronic medical illnesses such as:
- Obesity
- Diabetes
- Heart disease
Let’s design a new model to address these issues in a more integrative way. We can improve so many lives and help to lower the overall cost of healthcare. Together, let’s endeavor to provide our patients with a true medical home where they can always expect accessible, patient-centered, and coordinated care.
